Welcome to Think Helensville

Hi

First post on Think Helensville, the new blog for everything to do with Helensville, New Zealand.

This blog is brought to you by the Helensville Online website, www.helensville.co.nz. It will be a series of (probably infrequent) notes, jottings and thoughts about our great town.

Don't be shy in posting any comments - your views are welcome!

Nice to see a local blog (I live just out of Helensville) :)

Hi
I have just found this site because of the local Rodney Times. I was so excited when I read the Mayor John Law' article on page 7 of the times dated 15 March 2007 where he is helping the children discover the benefits of fruit on trees. I read that there is an orchard at Rautawhiri Park in Helensville. I then went to John Laws site as I thought if any Major who is this sort of visionary I will be voting for him. What a great idea to plant fruit trees instead of judicious trees. This could be unique to Helensville. We could all decide to plant mostly fruit trees instead of other types and this will provide free fruit for everyone. People will come from miles as we will get a name as the fruity town. People I believe will also start to look after the trees. There could be a fine set for any one that took over the amount that is just enough. This is great what a great site. First time I have blogged and I will probably be an avid blogger now. What a great way to get your ideas across in the community. Sent from a Local waffler in the Community
